MISSION OF THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF MILITARY DISTRICTS

The Central office of military districts has a mission to provide resources for the military units from the Armed Forces and for other structures from the national security system of the Republic of Bulgaria in peacetime and wartime.

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF MILITARY DISTRICTS

Main functions of the Central Office of Military Districts are organizing the activities of providing of resources from the reserve to the military units and other structures from the national security system of the Republic of Bulgaria in peacetime and wartime; also organizing campaigns for advertising and participation in the process for recruitment of military personnel for active duty and reservists for service in the voluntary reserve of the Armed forces. Other functions of COMD include organizing the citizens’ preparation to homeland defense; military record keeping for the reserve in peacetime and wartime, cooperation with regional administration and non-government organizations in security field, as well administrative service of Bulgarian citizens.

One of the main functions of COMD and the Regional offices of military districts is "Popularization of the military profession and recruitment of candidates for military service, service in the voluntary reserve and training in the country's military schools". These functions are achieved by:

- conducting effective publicity and information activities among target groups in national and regional media and on social media;

- participation in advertising and information events;

- participation in advertising and information campaigns;
